WEBINAR. What do grantmakers advancing social-emotional learning need to know about opportunities and threats posed by the current education policy environment – including the rollout of ESSA and the creation of new accountability frameworks for schools and districts? Where are the greatest leverage points for philanthropic attention?
Join us to delve into these questions with our expert speakers from the Learning Policy Institute and Education Counsel during GTY’s upcoming webinar on SEL, ESSA and policy.
GTY is a forum of diverse funders advancing the development of a broad range of skills and capacities everyone needs to succeed in school, work, citizenship, and life, and to support overall wellbeing. Although we are using the SEL shorthand for this web seminar, we recognize that these skills and capacities are variously referred to as social and emotional skills and/or competencies, pro-social behaviors, character development, virtues, higher-order cognitive skills, learning mindsets and skills, inter- and intrapersonal skills, and more broadly, as the science of learning and development.
