Teacher Stress and Health: Effects on Teachers, Students, and Schools

School climate and culture, and teachers own’ social emotional competence are key drivers of stress experienced by 46% of U.S. teachers every day. Stress compromises teachers’ health, sleep, quality of life, and job performance, and can be mitigated in part by implementing programs that focus on student behavior and SEL in the classroom. SCE Announces the SEL Demonstration Initiative

The Susan Crown Exchange announced the third phase of the SEL Challenge this month. The SEL Demonstration Initiative will focus on how the Preparing Youth to Thrive content, training, performance measures and practices can be integrated into youth-serving organizations across the country to improve SEL practice.
