Generation Citizen works to ensure that every student in the United States receives effective civics education through project based learning, advocacy and youth leadership development.

Within 25 years, no racial group will be the majority. Our generation has a massive opportunity and responsibility to create conditions for an inclusive, just, multi-racial democracy.

In 25 words or fewer, what do you most need right now for Generation Citizen to accomplish its goals?
A sense of urgency! GC needs deepened collaboration from education and philanthropic communities to turn our democratic crisis into a democratic revival grounded in equity.

In 25 words or fewer, what would you like funders to think about or do?
If we don’t preserve and strengthen democracy, can our other priorities succeed? What will we leverage and invest to fortify democratic practices for future generations?

Finally, what one (1) word would you like everyone to keep in mind?
Interdependence.

Support in amplifying our youth voices; it has been difficult to cut through the noise. In addition, multi-year investments to support our community through this pandemic.

In 25 words or fewer, what would you like funders to think about or do?
Output and mastery aren’t always the best metrics of success. For programs to transcend a moment, we need to challenge our perspectives on youth growth.
